"Jupiter", built in 1866 at Port Adelaide as a barge, with the engine from the "Lady Augusta" being fitted in Nov 1868. Now a 1 decked, round stern, carvel built paddle steamer with 7 bulkheads. Owners: 1868 - James King, 1874 - H King & Partners, 1878 - R & W Reid, 1892 - J.D. Ritchie, 1898 - W.P. & W.H. Dunk. Customs register closed in July 1933 : "Made into a fishing depot and registration no longer required." In 1879 was used on the darling, Messrs Dunk used the vessel on Lake Alexandrina, and in 1923 altered and liscenced her to carry 134 passengers on deck and 30 in cabin when on excursion. Her last voyage was from Narrung to Milang. When made into a fish depot she was permanently moored alongside a wharf in Port Adelaide. Passed out of existence in the 1940's.
