Mrs. H. POTTS

This lady was my grandmother who came to Adelaide in 1940 (during the difficult years of the war) with her son Alan (age 8) and infant daughter Joan (my mother) to live here for 12 months while my grandfather worked to establish the ICI works north of Adelaide. She was a seamstress. She never returned to England to live. My grandfather died at the age of 62 (lung cancer?) and she lived around the corner from us for the rest of her life. She lived until the age of 93 on Beach Street Grange. She died in 1995. I still miss her.
