1840 Oct 2: Left Leith for South Australia via Rio, but was abandoned on fire 600 miles west of the Cape (29 Dec). She carried cargo for A.L.Elder, Murray Greig & Co, etc, and 15 passengers including Dr.Byers and Miss.M.Brown, who proceeded by the Amelia and London respectively.
