The barque Alfred, from Hamburg, under command of Captain Meyer, formerly commander of the August, of Hamburg, arrived at the lightship anchorage on Saturday, the 13th instant, having eighty-five German passengers, the majority of whom are bound for Melbourne. She has a very heavy cargo, likewise consigned for Melbourne, and as portion of her freight, brings 73 rams. The Alfred is quite a new vessel, and has succeeded in making her passage from the Isle of Wight in 93 days. Register 15/2/1858
