Via Las Palmas & Cape Town (30 - 31 July), damaging her propeller when she struck a submerged object off Cape Town (1 Aug) but arrived in Adelaide one day early. The crew went on strike (22 Aug) at the Outer Harbor due to a reduction in their wages. 60 passengers bound for Adelaide disembarked on arrival, others left the vessel (by 16 Sept). Departing (8 Nov) for eastern states.
