Transported from Adelaide to Tilbury in 1948 had my 5th birthday on board, loved the journey with my Father and Mother, only the second time I’d seen him when he emerged from the jungle. India no longer wanted us after 3 generations of Indian army's honourable service. The whole journey was spoilt by dockers being on Strike at Tilbury. Shame on them, Soldier’s and Sailors who had been fighting a war for some time had to do their work.
