The Alfred.- The passage of the Alfred from Hamburg has been completed in 100 days, inclusive of a detention of 17 days at Cape Town, for the purpose of landing and embarking Passengers and cargo. This is her second trip to this colony with passengers, and, as on the first occasion of her arrival here, she is commanded by Captain J.Meyer, who previously brought out the August, a vessel which was laden with wool at Port Augusta about three years ago. Of the passengers originally embarked a portion were landed at Cape Town, and others will remain here, but about 30 will proceed to Melbourne, for which port part of the cargo on board is consigned. The passengers on the voyage have enjoyed excellent health. One death only and four births have occurred. Register 26/81859
