Journey Notes

Via Circular Head (10 June). The Adonis, second fore and aft centreboard schooner to be brought from Tasmania for the coasting trade. The Crest of the Wave was the first. She is a sister ship. They are well suited for navigating bar harbours and shallow creeks, as they only draw a few feet with the board up, and with it lowered they are very weathery. Register 16/6/1866.
