Am writing a story for website of same name above (medals) re the medals and history of former 1st Mate/Master of the 'Aldinga" and "Tarcoola", CAPTN Charles Frederick HORNE (OBE (Mil] and MiD - WW1) - Born Queenstown, Cork IRE , 06 Feb 1884 - 19 Feb 1926, Balmain NSW, age 42yrs. master of "Helenus", Ocean Steamship Coy, Japan-USA-Plymouth. Former Lieut (Temp) RNR, 1915-1918. Nav on MFA vessel "Zaria" in Area 3, Orkneys (Scapa Flow) - 6mths patrolling Orkneys - OBE for services 01 Jan - 30 Jun18. Disch: Worked for Adelaide Steamship Co 1920 > ? until death. Home: 36 Cremorne St, Neutral Bay. Wife: Isobel Smith HORNE (nee MANN) - re-married to George Henry MARTIN (B: NZ), in 1933.
