Journey Notes

In view of the fact that the Swedish-South African Company now sends its steamers regularly to Australia from Baltic ports, timber-laden sailers from that quarter are much more a rarity than a few years ago. The Norwegian barque Lingard, which signalled the Semaphore on Wednesday evening, was, however, from that quarter. She had a passage extending over 117 days from Gothenburg with deals. [Register] Departing (11 Sept) from Wallaroo with 14,678 bags of wheat for the UK.
